results are in!

Yesterday we got the official results of our blood tests, and just as we suspected, we are "clean". It's hard to describe how you feel walking in to a place where you know the reasons you are there, but no one else does. You feel like you have to justify to everyone the reasons for the test. "We're trying to adopt a baby so we need to have this test" or "The agency requires that we be tested for ..." Showing the armful of paperwork as if that proves it.

And even though you know you know the results there is still just a twinge of fear that comes over you as she opens the file.....whew what a relief!

It's one more thing to check off the list! Up next ???

I did talk to the agency today and they are processing our application, and she would get back with me regarding the Adoption Issues Seminar. She did indicate that even though they don't have a seminar scheduled, that won't hold up the progress. If it comes to it, she said they would go over everything one on one with us to move forward with the approval process.

Good to know that the lack of a scheduled seminar will not hold you back! Where's the "Burn Blog"?
